
Irish mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor announced his retirement from the game without announcing any apparent reasons for his decision but was satisfied with his career with it.
Conor McGregor posted on his Twitter account on Sunday a photo of his mother during his celebration of one of his victories, adding to it a comment: "I decided to retire from the fight, thanks for all the wonderful memories, what a journey."
McGregor announced his retirement from mixed martial arts (MMA) in March 2019 after losing to his Russian rival Habib Nurmagomedov in October 2018 before returning in January 2020 to playing the game again; Where he dropped his American opponent, Donald Cerrone, with a technical knockout, just 40 seconds from the start.
McGregor had also tweeted, “Hey guys, a quick
announcement. I decided to retire from the sport officially known as (mixed
martial arts) today. .

The Irish fighter had started his
professional career in 2008, and after that, in 2013, he joined the UFC
organization and achieved its featherweight title at the time, and his fame was
when he entered a fight with the Russian Habib Nurmadmadov, who managed to beat
the Irish after a long fight .
Also, one of his most famous matches was his match against veteran American boxer Floyd Mayweather in August 2017, which ended in favor of the latter in the tenth round.
